The new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliancy requires that I am fully transparent in how I gather and use any personal information from you, my clients!

Personal Data I Collect

​

I collect your name so I know what to call you, your email so I can communicate with you and send you your pictures, and possibly your phone number so I can communicate with you on the day of the shoot, and your address which may be necessary for your booking. All of these are necessary for me to do the job you’ve paid me to do, which is take your photos!

How I Collect and Keep Your Personal Data

​

All your information is either given to me from you via the form you fill out to contact me and hire me for the job, or by request from me. This information arrives in an email inbox that is tightly password protected. If you decide not to book me, that information is deleted forever! If you do book me, the only information I keep is your emails in aforementioned email inbox. These are only used to send relevant information like the link to get your photos, and to send invoices! Information on invoices is sent to you, and a copy is kept in a secure password-protected external harddrive for up to 3 years past the date of the contract.
 

I have a newsletter, but you are NOT automatically added to it. You will always be asked via a form if you wish to opt-in to receiving the newsletter.

Right of Confirmation, Access, Rectification, and Erasure

At any point, you have the right to request to see what data I have that belongs to you. You also have the right to change that information. And finally, at any point you have the right to request that I delete any and all personal data!

Use of Your Data

Your data will be used to communicate with you as far as it is necessary to get the job done! This means emailing or texting or calling you to set up the photoshoot time and location, emailing you photoshoot confirmations, emailing you the model consent form to fill out, emailing you an invoice, and emailing you the link to your gallery. This information will never be shared with anyone else and will only be seen by me, your photographer.

Use of Your Face-Based Data (aka Photos!)

As a photographer, photos are how I make my business! Chances are, you saw one of my lovely photos of a couple or family and decided to book with me! If you book me as your photographer, I ask you for your consent, via an online form, to use your images on my blog and other social media for promotional purposes. No personal information will be shared with these photos. You may choose to opt-in, and at any point you may choose to opt-out. If you opt-out, any photos of you on my blog, Instagram, Facebook, and any other social media will be taken down. You may also veto any specific photos that you don’t want used.

All RAW and processed photos are stored on a secure password-protected harddrive, which is kept in my office behind a double-locked door. Final photo galleries are available via a third-party website (PixieSet.com) and always require a password to access them. The gallery is always marked private and will never be made public. They are available only for 30 days, and after that time expires they will be taken down and permanently deleted.
